Ruth D. Spencer Obituary, Death – The Lucasville, Ohio, community is mourning the tragic loss of Ruth D. Spencer, who died in a head-on collision in Scioto County during the early morning hours of Thursday. She was 51 years old.
Her sudden passing has left family, friends, and loved ones grieving the loss of a woman whose life touched many within her community.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded shortly before 4 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash on State Route 104 near milepost 15 in Scioto County.
Investigators reported that a 2019 Jeep Cherokee traveling northbound crossed left of center and collided head-on with a southbound 2008 Chevrolet Impala.
Ruth D. Spencer, the driver of the Impala and a resident of Lucasville, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as 28-year-old Abreanna Steele, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Additional information may be released as the investigation progresses.
Authorities have not announced any further details beyond the preliminary findings.
